OSU Cheerleading Facts

National Championship: 1993

National Runner-Up: 2001

The talent of the cheerleaders extends far beyond the sidelines of the football field. In addition to cheering on other Buckeye Athletes, the Ohio State cheerleading squad also participates in a yearly competition hosted by the Universal Cheerleaders Association and featured on ESPN. The competition judges the talent of different College squads across the nation. The OSU cheerleading program is one of the most successful squads in the country. The Buckeyes have advanced to the College Cheerleading National Championships 17 out of the last 19 years, including the 1993 National Title, and a Runner-Up finish in 2001.
